CERTIFICATE COURSE IN COUNSELLING FOR TEACHERS

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

1. To make the trainees well aware of the approaches and techniques of the counselling.
2. To make the trainees empathetic towards the student's need.
3. To make the trainees competent in their responsibilities as teachers.
4. To make the trainees sensitive to the changing roles of the teachers for better Understanding of the students and helping them in other spheres of their lives.

ELIGIBILITY
Candidates having any recognized teacher education degree or diploma i.e. N.T.T./ D.El.Ed./ B.Ed./ M.Ed. etc.
Or
Graduate in any discipline having at least 2 years of teaching experience.
Or
B.Ed./ M.Ed. trainees and Teacher Educators.
Minimum % of marks for all candidates is 50% (5% relaxation for SC/ST) in Graduation or in Teacher Education degree or diploma.

COURSE FEE Rs. 5000/-

INTAKE The intake of students will be limited to a maximum of 50.

DURATION OF THE COURSE
The course is distributed over six months. Since it is a regular contact programme on Saturdays & Sundays, attendance is compulsory.
